Cleaning systems (flash point FP > 55°C)

According to the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV), flammable liquids with a flash point above 55°C are no longer subject to the same regulations. Nevertheless, safety when handling these substances remains crucial. Safety data sheets, the content of which is specified in Annex II of the REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, provide important information on all safety-relevant properties of the liquids used.

Cleaning systems for flammable liquids according to ATEX standard
KLN Ultraschall develops cleaning systems that comply with the strict ATEX guidelines (ATmosphère EXplosibles) especially for the use of flammable liquids. These systems can be operated independently or in combination with other cleaning processes to ensure maximum flexibility.

Operation and safety measures
The cleaning tanks must be operated in well-ventilated workplaces, whereby compliance with the MAK values (maximum workplace concentration) is of particular importance. The cleaning agent can be filled directly into the tanks, while the ultrasonic generators are set up separately. A safety thermostat monitors the temperature and switches the system off as soon as the set maximum temperature (15°C below the flash point) is exceeded. A supplied lid minimises emissions during downtimes and the systems can also be used in combination with aqueous cleaning processes to offer even greater flexibility in cleaning technology.

  • Acoustic counter-cooling
  • Ultrasonic frequencies 30 and/or 40 kHz
  • Automation systems

Cleaning systems (flash point FP < 55°C)

Our cleaning systems are specially designed for solvents that fall under risk phrases R10 (flammable), R11 (highly flammable) and R12 (extremely flammable) in accordance with the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV). They offer flexible application possibilities in halls and workrooms as well as in explosion-protected areas.

Reliable explosion protection in accordance with ATEX
The explosion protection concept is based on a comprehensive safety approach that fulfils all the necessary measures for the safe operation of the systems. Targeted extraction at the point of origin keeps the work area free of explosive atmospheres. The exhaust air volume is dimensioned in such a way that the maximum workplace concentration (MAC values) is always maintained, even during trouble-free operatio

Ventilated workstation for manual operation
Our systems have a specially ventilated workstation designed for manual handling. The basic equipment includes a solvent chamber and an evaporation chamber. The solvent chamber is integrated into a larger collecting tray, whereby the solvent is indirectly sonicated by a water seal. The evaporation chamber is connected to the exhaust air system to ensure efficient removal of the vapours.

A targeted air flow to the rear exhaust air duct prevents vapours from reaching the operator. All important displays and operating elements are located centrally in the control box to enable simple and safe operation.

Immersion systems (flash point FP<55°C)

Versatile single or multi-chamber cleaning systems for solvents
This type of system is available in flexible versions as a single or multi-chamber system and is ideal for cleaning processes with one or more solvents. The systems can also be equipped with integrated vapour drying and evaporation stations to further optimise the cleaning process.

Efficient solvent recovery and safety in accordance with ATEX
To minimise solvent losses, the systems are equipped with a freeboard and a recooling area. All safety equipment required to comply with the ATEX directive is fully integrated to ensure safe and efficient operation at all times.

Lösungsmittelanlagen für nicht brennbare Lösungsmittel

The Solvac S1 combines automated solvent washing, rinsing, cooling and drying in one compact, cost-effective unit. This system offers first-class standard functions and provides a reliable cleaning solution at a budget-friendly price.

  • Reduced solvent consumption
  • Solvac compression lid with automatic seal retains solvent for increased efficiency.
  • Vapotronic Electronic Pulse Modulation System sends electrical heat energy into the solvent only when needed, instead of less efficient machines, reducing electricity costs.
  • Improved operation and diagnostics through a compact PLC linked to a high-resolution and colour touch screen.
  • Easy remote access, data export and firmware updates with the RJ45 port on the front and a USB port on the PLC for stick drives.
  • Improved cooling minimises solvent loss and increases efficiency.
  • Maximised steam flushing for better cleaning.
  • Locking the internal siphon to the lid prevents the siphon from moving when the lid is open, increasing operator safety.
  • Extremely practical process status reports through Unobtrusive LED status bar uses a combination of red, green and blue lights to indicate the current status of the cleaning process.
